Prayer Walk/Protest

With the recent highly publicized racial injustices in our country, many of us are living and feeling the words of Fannie Lou Hamer-we are simply “sick and tired of being sick and tired”.  Believe it or not, our young people are also tired and exhausted, frightened and angry, worried and dismayed.  But God gives us hope that through Him all things are possible, even change. ATOP’s youth/young adults are invited to participate in a Prayer Walk and Peaceful Protest this  Saturday, June 13th at 3:30pm.  Several youth departments from local churches in the Memphis area have connected and brainstormed on how we can get our youth involved in being a part of the solutions for racial and social justice in America.  We want this event to empower them spiritually as well as to remind them that they, too, have a voice and can make a difference.  Ultimately, we want the momentum to continue and not die after all the media slows and hashtags cease; hence, this movement is entitled #afterthehashtag.
NOTE– Elementary and Middle School Students must be accompanied by a parent to attend.
See flyer and logistics document.  Please contact Min. Kelly Sealey at sealeyk11@gmail.com or at 770-364-2505 if you have any questions.  We hope you will join us this Saturday! God bless.
In Christ,
